TikTok Ads Manager isolation
Ads Manager and Business Center hygiene in one page, for authorized advertisers. Isolation, not a second identity you bought in a group chat.

I open TikTok Ads Manager in a local profile that holds that advertiser and nothing else. Personal TikTok stays out. Creator posting stays out if it is a different job. Research stays out.
The useful caveat: this is hygiene for an ads account you already administer. It is not a restore guide, and it is not a second identity you bought in a chat. Spend limits and disabled accounts are business facts. A new folder does not reopen them.
What I keep in the ads profile
Business Center. Ads Manager. Pixel helpers that belong to that advertiser. Billing UIs for that entity.
I keep out personal TikTok, competitor scrolling, and unofficial "growth" extensions. TikTok pixel and cookie bleed is why a shared folder is a shared pixel story.
Multiple accounts on one PC is the parent split. Facebook Business Manager isolation is the same idea on Meta. Roles first. Cookie dumps never.
MaskWright 0.1: Windows 10/11, local store, no seats, no cloud phones. Each profile has its own user-data-dir. profiles.json is encrypted. Chromium user data is not. Bring your own HTTP or SOCKS5 if that advertiser already uses an exit.
Web Ads Manager is still not the app
Ads Manager is a web product. That is a good fit for a desktop profile. Creator features that only exist in the TikTok app are not. TikTok web versus the app. TikTok creator accounts you own.
I do not paste a mobile UA onto the ads profile. TikTok device checks we can see are not a puzzle I will solve with paint.
Access for other people
Invite them in Business Center. They sign in as themselves on their own Windows box, in their own empty profile. I do not export cookies. I do not zip profiles/<id>.
Unofficial helpers that want the session get a no. Same stance as Instagram scheduling without unofficial helpers.
Research is a different profile
Public offer pages, public ads, competitor accounts: empty profile, usually logged out. Instagram research without mixing jars is the method. Do not open Ads Manager there.
| Profile | Holds | Must not hold |
|---|---|---|
| Ads / Business Center | Official ads UI, pixel for that entity | Personal TikTok, research history |
| Creator (if separate) | Official creator web ops you run | Ads billing, research saves |
| Research | Public pages | Any ads login |
Proxy and locale
If the advertiser already uses an exit, I attach it to this profile only. Language and timezone can follow exit geo on launch. I do not reuse another client's proxy string because it was still in the clipboard.
A household IP is allowed for work you are allowed to do from that house. A proxy is not a purchased Business Center.
On a real Windows desk
I name the profile after the advertiser, not after a country I hope to look like. Store root is maskwright-data under Electron userData. I never copy that uuid folder in Explorer to "duplicate Ads Manager." That copies the live Chromium tree.
Before the first password, I use the proxy geo check if this advertiser already has an exit. HTTP or SOCKS5. If the country is wrong, I fix the exit. I do not type a password at a mismatched timezone. If there is no proxy, I leave locale on the household clock. A shared street is allowed for work I am allowed to do from that house.
Downloads of invoices and CSV reports leave the profile tray the same day. Chrome saves into the user-data dir unless I change it. That is how a "quick export" becomes a mixed folder.
I close Ads Manager when the campaign pass is done. Bulk stop exists if I left several profiles running. I do not leave billing open on a shared tower. 2FA stays on a phone I hold, not in a screenshot in Downloads.
FAQ
Can two ad accounts share one profile if they sit in one Business Center?
If TikTok already expects one login to see both, one profile matches that. If they are separate businesses that must not share pixels, use the official split TikTok gave you, plus two folders when the logins are actually separate.
Will a new profile fix a disabled ads account?
No. Complete whatever TikTok asked, as the owner. Isolation is not a restore kit.
Should I keep the pixel helper in research?
No. Pixel helpers belong with the advertiser they fire for. Research stays empty of those extensions.
Do I need Playwright to rotate creatives?
MaskWright is not a Playwright product. Bulk start exists for profiles you already run. It is not an ads robot. If TikTok gave you an official API or UI, use that.
Keep Ads Manager in one local folder. Invite people with roles. Leave personal TikTok and research elsewhere.
More notes sit under Social media. Compare local versus cloud if you are deciding who holds that ads session.
