YouTube Studio on a local profile

YouTube Studio on a local profile. Brand accounts are the sibling. This commercial page is isolation for Studio work you already administer.

YouTube Studio on a local profile 1

I open YouTube Studio in a local profile that holds the Google account (or Brand Account) I already administer. Personal Gmail stays out if I can keep it out. LinkedIn Recruiter stays out. X ads stay out.

The useful caveat: Studio is a Google surface. Google account clusters leak across YouTube, Gmail, and ads more easily than people expect. Read YouTube and Google account clusters before you "just add" another Google login in the same folder.

Studio versus Brand Accounts

YouTube Brand Accounts is the sibling: use Google's Brand Account model before you invent another Gmail just to hold a channel. This page is the Studio cookie store. Often they are the same profile. That is fine. Mixing Studio with a client LinkedIn login is not.

Multiple accounts on one PC is the parent split. MaskWright 0.1: Windows 10/11, per-profile user-data-dir. profiles.json is encrypted. Chromium user data is not. No seats. No cloud phones. Bring your own HTTP or SOCKS5 if that channel already uses an exit.

Keep other work out

Public LinkedIn looking: empty research profile. LinkedIn research on public pages. Campaign Manager: LinkedIn Campaign Manager isolation. Recruiter: Recruiter workflows. X brand and X ads: X brand accounts, X Ads Manager isolation.

Google will happily attach another account in the account picker. I close extras I did not mean to open.

Access

Invite managers through YouTube / Brand Account permissions. They sign in as themselves. Do not export cookies. 2FA on a device they hold.

How I set it

Empty cookies. Official Studio URL. Sign in. Confirm the channel switcher shows the channel I meant. Confirm the Google account picker is not a pile. Close Studio when uploads are done. Downloads of analytics CSVs leave the profile tray into an ops folder.

On a real Windows desk

Studio is acme-yt-studio in the list. I sign into Google, switch to the Brand Account, then open Studio. I look at the account picker before I upload. Extra client Gmails get removed from this folder. They belong in their own profiles.

Upload drafts that fail stay in Studio, not copied into a second Google login "for backup." Analytics CSVs leave the tray into ops. Thumbnails live in the design share, not in the Chromium profile.

If I also run LinkedIn ads, that is acme-li-ads. I do not bulk-start Studio and Campaign Manager into one visual pile and then drag a file into the wrong window.

2FA is Google's prompt on a device I hold. I do not paste backup codes into a contractor chat. Managers get Brand Account roles.

Optional proxy only if this channel's company already uses one. Geo check. Sticky. Desktop Client Hints stay desktop.

FAQ

Can two channels share one profile?

If they already share a Brand Account or Google login, they may have to. If they are separate businesses, prefer separate Google identities plus separate folders.

Does a new profile fix a channel strike?

No. Strikes are YouTube's process. I will not write a bypass.

Should I use a mobile UA for Studio?

No. Studio on desktop is a desktop app. This product models desktop Client Hints.

Cloud Studio?

The vendor holds the Google session. I keep Studio on local disk. Compare local versus cloud.

Should I bulk-start Studio and Gmail if they are different Google logins?

Only if they are already different profiles. One profile with two Google accounts in the picker is the cluster this page exists to prevent.

Open Studio as the channel you already administer. Keep Google pickers tidy. Invite managers. Leave LinkedIn and X in other folders.

I skip mobile UAs, cloud Studio, and a second uuid as a strike workaround. I move analytics CSVs to ops. I confirm the Brand Account switch before an upload. 2FA stays on a device I hold.
