What a multi-session browser is

A multi-session browser stacks sessions in one Chrome. That is a different product class from isolated engines. Keep SessionBox-class queries here.

What a multi-session browser is 1

A multi-session browser is a Chrome (or Chromium) window that can hold more than one login side by side. You switch the session the way you switch a tab. Support desks and agency QA people like that. It is a different product class from an antidetect launcher. SessionBox-class tools belong here. Isolated engines belong on the other page.

I am splitting the words because search mashed them. Multi-session is stacking. Multi-account, on this site, is authorized isolated profiles. If you need that definition, use what a multi-account browser is for and what an antidetect browser is. This page stays on the stack. Both live under Antidetect browsers.

What stacking actually shares

Sessions in one window share an engine family. They often share a process. They share GPU, fonts, screen metrics, and the Windows environment. Cookie stores can be partitioned per session. Fingerprints usually are not.

That is fine for a support person who needs the client's help desk in one tab and the internal wiki in another, both authorized, both expected to look like the same machine. It is a poor fit when Brand A's pixel must never see Brand B's ads login.

Chrome profiles versus an antidetect profile is a lasting Chrome user, which is closer to isolation than a session stack and still a shared binary. Firefox containers versus antidetect is the Firefox version of a labeled cookie split.

When stacking is the right size

You were hired to sit in several authorized staff accounts and you need them on screen at once. You are checking how a page looks while signed in as Admin versus Editor. You are not trying to tell two businesses apart at the fingerprint layer.

Stay with the session switcher. Installing an antidetect app so you can alt-tab between two windows is overhead.

When stacking is the wrong size

Two legal entities. Two ads accounts that must not share a pixel. A research profile that must never see customer data. A personal Facebook next to a Business Manager. Those need directories, not tabs.

The Chromium core and Firefox versus Chromium cores are the engine notes. Camoufox and Firefox notes cover the Firefox path. The public MaskWright channel is Windows 10 and 11 x64. Antidetect browsers for Windows holds that limit.

MaskWright is not a multi-session Chrome. It launches separate profiles. Bulk start exists so you can open several of those profiles without clicking one by one. That is still isolated engines, not a tab stack.

Do not rename a session switcher as antidetect

I see purchase pages do this. They put "fingerprint" in the subtitle and ship cookie partitioning in one Chrome. Cookie partitioning is useful. It is not a fingerprint record. If the tool cannot give each login a stable seed and a dedicated user-data tree, it is a session switcher. Buy it for that job. Do not buy it for this one.

Authorized logins only. Stacking staff tabs you were invited into is ordinary. Stacking extra identities you opened to dodge a limit is a terms problem. Neither product class changes that.

What I actually check before I trust a stack

I open two staff logins in the session switcher and confirm I can paste into the right color. Then I open a fingerprint checker in both sessions. If canvas, WebGL, and screen metrics match (they will), I treat the tool as a cookie partitioner, not an isolation product. That is enough for QA. It is not enough for Client A's pixel versus Client B.

RAM is the other practical limit. Ten colored sessions in one Chrome still share one process family. Ten MaskWright profiles are ten browsers. If the desk wanted one window, buy the stack. If the desk wanted ten engines, budget RAM.

I also watch downloads. Session switchers often dump files into the same Chrome Downloads folder. So do antidetect profiles unless you change the path. Isolation of cookies does not isolate the Windows tray. Name files as they land.

FAQ

Is Ghost Browser a multi-session browser?

Yes, in the sense this page uses. Color-coded sessions in Chrome. The dedicated comparison is Ghost Browser versus an antidetect browser if that slug is what you searched. Here the class is the point.

Can MaskWright stack sessions in one window?

No. It launches separate user-data directories. If you need side-by-side staff tabs in one Chrome, use a session switcher.

Is multi-session safer than Chrome profiles?

Different trade. Session switchers keep several logins visible. Chrome users last across restarts. Neither gives you a per-login fingerprint record. Pick the smaller tool that matches the desk.
