Anti-bot pages and official channels

Their page is a bypass guide. Ours is official channels only. A Cloudflare wall is a stop, not a puzzle this blog will help you around. Authorized work only.

Anti-bot pages and official channels 1

Competitor pages treat a Cloudflare wall as a puzzle. Ours treat it as a stop, then a search for the official channel. I will not help you around the wall. This is the ethics page for that class of sign.

I will not name bypass products. I will not list challenge types as a menu. What web scraping is already said a wall ends the HTML job.

What the wall is saying

The publisher put a gate in front of the HTML. Sometimes it is clumsy. Sometimes it sits on a marketing page a person can pass. Sometimes it sits on an API you were never invited to hit from a browser. In every case the gate is a published preference: this path is not for your client right now.

Captchas are a stop sign is the puzzle-grid sibling. An interstitial, a JavaScript challenge, a managed wall: same class. Rate limits are not a puzzle is the numeric sibling. Do not rotate exits until the wall goes away.

robots.txt and terms come first. A wall does not rewrite a Disallow. It adds a stop on top.

Official channels after the stop

Look for the door the publisher did want. A documented API. A partner program. A public export. A Library UI a person can use. Official channels beat headed collection for the same bytes. Public Ads Library research stays on that UI. Facebook Ads Library research locally. A Python client starts from those libraries, not from a challenge solver. Web scraping with Python, without a stealth stack.

If you own the host, you own the allowlist. Playwright for pages you own. Fix staging. Do not practice bypass on a stranger's wall and call it rehearsal.

If the bytes sit behind a login, you were already in the wrong job. Scraping behind a login is not research. Personal data you have no right to hold stays refused. Personal data and collection.

Wall on...What I do
A host I operateFix the allowlist, whitelist CI, ticket it
A public marketing page, me as a personTry later as a person, or read another way
A collector I wroteStop. Look for the official API
A login I was not invited to automateStop. Not research

Your wall versus their wall

On a host you operate, a challenge you bought is a configuration problem. You add the CI IP, you turn the rule down on staging, you fix the bot fight you started with yourself. The leftover is a ticket, not a bypass note.

On a host you do not operate, the same challenge is a published stop. You do not have the Cloudflare dashboard. You have the official API docs, a public UI, or nothing. Treating their wall as a lab is how hide playbooks get written. I will not write them.

A person in a cold profile who hits a wall on a marketing page can try again later as a person, or read the same copy another way. A program that hits the wall is done.

What I will not write

How to pass a managed challenge. How to reuse a clearance cookie. How to pair a residential exit with a headed collector. How to make Playwright look like a person at the wall. We will not hide a scraper. A scraping browser will not be sold as the key. What a scraping browser is.

A "research exception" that is just bypass with a nicer title.

Local desk

When a cold profile hits a wall, close it. Write "wall at URL, time" in the research folder. Do not open the work profile to click through so a script can resume. That is a person-as-solver pattern.

MaskWright 0.1 has no anti-bot integration and no solver hook. A coherent fingerprint on a work profile is for authorized logins, not for clearance at a harvest wall. I will not document using the profile that way.

The ethics list is the parent. This URL owns one line: a wall is a stop, then the official door, then nothing.

If a vendor demo clears the wall in the thumbnail, close the tab. The demo is selling the puzzle. You already have the answer.

The Scraping hub is built to disappoint the bypass query. If you arrived from a Cloudflare how-to, the useful next click is the API docs, not a disguise.

Keep a one-line log when a cold profile hits a wall: host, time, signed-out. That log is enough to decide whether an official channel exists. It is not a clearance cookbook. Do not store cookies from the challenge page. Do not screenshot the puzzle as if it were a trophy.

FAQ

What if a person can pass the wall and a script cannot?

That is the point of the wall. A person may look. A program should use the official door or stop.

Can MaskWright clear Cloudflare?

No. 0.1 launches profiles. It is not a clearance product.
